Sometime I’ll break These lonesome kind of days Crashing straight into night Headlong, swift as the time High as the stars The moon won’t survive It’ll make it through the night But day will arrive And carry on its back A heavy, heavy sun The weight of new Of time yet to come Wondering what it’ll bring A yawning dawn promising spring And a penchant for hope That unlived seconds seem to evoke High as the stars The moon won’t survive It’ll make it through the night But day will arrive And carry on its back A heavy, heavy sun The weight of new Of time yet to come And the hardest part of it all Is feeling nothing when you fall No big hit when you’re out So reach for me quiet night As I toss around these doubts High as the stars The moon won’t survive It’ll make it through the night But day will arrive And carry on its back A heavy, heavy sun The weight of new Of time yet to come

Settle 03:44
I’d settle for some time Round here Taking In all of the scenery Light slipping through the trees Trying not to touch the rain I’d settle for some way To go Back in Time so I can be right here Watch the ground disappear As the green takes its place Theres some folks that try To ask me why Why I move like I do inside Paint some pictures to hide behind And dream of another place But round here sleep echoes It won’t stay on your pillow You learn quickly to settle If you wanna lose the weight I’d settle for some time Away From all All the moments in the day Moments that you can’t escape As the noise takes ahold I’d settle for some way To take Us out Maybe two or three years Out to where you can’t here Any noise but you’re own Theres some folks that try To tell me why Why I need to step in stride Ink the contract, let it dry And start living life But I don’t wanna hear the echoes Off of buildings, through tunnels I want to hear it grow Against the quiet of the night I’d settle for a grave Round here Under The boughs of the tallest tree Roots kindly cradle me As everything turns to green Round here sleep echoes It won’t stay on your pillow You learn quickly to settle If you wanna lose the weight But I don’t wanna hear the echoes Off of buildings, through tunnels I want to hear it grow Against the quiet of the night

Inbetween 03:28
I’m awake in this dream Where the visions just keep coming And the memories aren’t mean Everyone around me stares Right in the same direction Cause the lights are over there Somehow in this moment There’s enough to go around Don’t need a single thing Except right now So let’s go Make it last forever No, you can’t forget That it’s all the in between things That lead you to the stars So go find your inbetween And let it take you far Had a friend long ago Who killed everyone with laughter And lost everything he owned Followed him around every turn To love every second Take on every urge Somehow in that moment I think I was learning how To drop everything Except the right now So let’s go Make it last forever No, you can’t forget That it’s all the in between things That lead you to the stars So go find your inbetween And let’s go Make it last forever No, you can’t forget That it’s all the in between things That lead you to the stars So go find your inbetween

Brought up to socialize With those business types Money never dies Son take my name And go onward Never gonna recognize We’re losing limbs Though we try and try Son close your eyes It’s not getting any closer We’re living for the moment We’re lost in the time being We paid for it all with our futures Spared no expense For you Nothing but the best Let’s have another round On me I don’t really like these terms We’re raising cain just to watch it burn Somehow we can't see Much farther than that Hey where we headed? That’s not your concern Just keep your mouth shut And maybe you’ll learn Seems about time we took our voice back We’re living for the moment We’re lost in the time being We paid for it all with our futures Spared no expense For you Nothing but the best Let’s have another round On me

Amelia 05:15
Headed for a landing somewhere in the Pacific Ocean Broke through the clouds and saw the green atoll Half drowned ship clinging to the reef With the bones the sea hadn’t dissolved Not the best sign But we had nowhere to go I broke the wings on touchdown rather smoothly Snapped clean off right as we hit the sand Watched a wing sink into the reef As we came to a stop Flipped on the radio With my shaking hands Hello there Is anyone listening? Hello there Can you hear my call? I said mayday We’re not gonna make the next check point But we’re breathing And feeling rather small Maps and blood seemed to cover the entire backseat At least what was left of a plane that split in two Salt water’s only good for washing the sand Out of these fresh cuts Gonna need something else To heal our wounds Noticed all the birds and the trees and the crabs around me Thinking for a second someone could live here Last time I checked we didn’t even know Half the world around us So I started walking And began to yell Hello there Is anyone listening? Hello there Can you hear my call? I said mayday We crashed here on your island But we’re breathing And like to get home Hammered on the short wave to nothing but static Drifted to sleep with the waves and reef and white noise I was up high gazing at the colors Of endless expanding water No place to crash Nothing to avoid Awoke right as Freddy went to sleep for good Made me kinda jealous that I was just a little dazed I guess I could look at this As a permanent vacation But I gotta survive So one more time I’ll say Hello there Is anyone listening? Hello there Can you hear my call? I said mayday I’m not gonna make the next checkpoint But I’m breathing And feeling rather small A little housewife with a hobby in a Texas basement Heard something new and called the FAA Lost my signal Never found it again they said Don’t you think that’s more than a little strange

Shut 04:10
Screeching tires on asphalt rocks Wet cement smells like cars don’t stop Twisted roads making sense to me Drive enough and you’ll see Crack the window, let the heat escape I feel it coming on – that beautiful haze To let it die would be such a shame So we're just speeding up Take me I won’t complain Longing for you Like rhythm in the rain Take me won’t give you up You are the door I can’t keep shut Hypnotized by mirrored glass Driving all night not a car to pass Listen close for the engine sigh I’m talking to myself Tilt your head let the wind shape you Never worry if you can't move Close your eyes, you still got a view So watch us speed up Take me I won’t complain Longing for you Like rhythm in the rain Take me won’t give you up You are the door I can’t keep shut Take me I won’t complain Longing for you Like rhythm in the rain Take me won’t give you up You are the door I can’t keep Can’t keep Shut

I could live in your eyes Build a home where we could stay We would live off our dreams As they slowly grow each day But I never knew that I wanted it So bad till I fell into into Falling for you was the last fall I’ll do The last time That I’ll hit the ground I could stare at your smile Till the fall turns into fall Years would just be a moment Stretched over a lifetime With you of it all But I never knew that I wanted it So bad till I fell into into Falling for you was the last fall I’ll do The last time That I’ll hit the ground Yea the last time That I’ll hit the ground Yea the last time That I’ll Hit the ground

Alive 02:31
After I’m dead and gone After I’m dead and gone The birds will still be singing their songs After I’m dead and gone After I’m dead and gone The birds will still be singing along As they lay me in the ground As they lay me in the ground The rain will still come pouring on down As they lay me in the ground As they lay me in the ground The rain will still fall down After they bury me After they bury me The wind will still come rustling the leaves After they bury me After they bury me The wind will still shake the trees As my soul begins to fly As my soul begins to fly I’ll look back on the people wondering why As my soul begins to fly As my soul begins to fly I’ll learn why I’ve been alive all this time I’ll learn why I’ve been alive

Weary Eyes 03:38
Weary eyes Weary eyes How can you see with those eyes Everytime you look up You’re so down It's no surprise No surprise You’re lost all the time Following around Those old weary eyes They don’t fit your age Or your point of view There used to be colors And now there’s just blue They’ve seen way too much Probably more than they should But don’t shut em tight Cause you’ll miss all the good Weary eyes Weary eyes How can you see with those eyes Everytime you look up You’re so down It's no surprise No surprise You’re lost all the time Following around Those old weary eyes They always take you Where you never want to be You end up all stuck Like a wet magazine Trying to stay dry Seems to take all your work But when the water is high At least you won’t die of thirst Weary eyes Weary eyes How can you see with those eyes Everytime you look up You’re so down It's no surprise No surprise You’re lost all the time Following around Those old weary eyes Following around

I'll Be Here 02:30
I'll be here when you're old and gray And when you fall down When the world's not there to pick you up I'll be around I'll be here when you make it More often when you don't So nevermind the waterline You're always gonna float I'll be here when you've had enough And when you want more Whether something or nothing Whatever it's for I'll be here when you find it And everytime you're looking And if you think it's gone I'll find out who took it You don't have to say a word I'll be right here Nevermind the day or time No matter the year So if you're somewhere far away Far in the unknown Well I'll get to know it And then we'll both be home I'll be here when you're old and gray And when you fall down When the world's not there to pick you up I'll be around I'll be here when you make it More often when you don't So nevermind the waterline You're always gonna float You don't have to say a word I'll be right here Nevermind the day or time No matter the year So if you're somewhere far away Far in the unknown Well I'll get to know it And then we'll both be home

Sleep 04:07
I wanna close my eyes I want to close my eyes I just wanna go to sleep Meet the darkness in the deep Won’t you let me close my eyes I'm not waiting for dawn I don't want to wait for dawn If I wait here too long Don’t think dawn will ever come I’m not gonna wait for dawn So let me lay down my head Won't you let me lay down my head I’d take a pile of dirt Even underneath the earth If you let me lay down my head I feel a dream coming on I can feel a dream coming on I can see it all right now I will make it there somehow Won't you come on dreams Come on I wanna close my eyes I want to close my eyes I just wanna go to sleep Meet the darkness in the deep Won’t you let me close my eyes Won’t you let me close my eyes

I couldn’t have even come close to making this record without the week of all-night sessions that Sam put in with me. And then there was the musicianship of Sam and Marshall. And then there was the month of remote listening hours and kicking the minutiae and revision ideas back and forth with Joe. And then an evening of overdubs with Hamilton. And then bringing artwork to life with style masters Julie and Megan. And then polishing the final sounds and getting HATS ready for primetime with Randy. I am surrounded by talented people who put their time and energy into my art; I am forever grateful. Thank you all.

Thank you to everyone who pre-ordered the record and made this physical release possible. Thank you to my family and beautiful partner Sage for putting up with long trips, late nights, and the career I chose. Thanks to my friends and fans that come out to shows, stay out late on worknights, and continually buy my ever expanding line of clothing; this new record is especially for you.

Thanks to those that I got to bounce mixes, artwork, masters, and ideas off of and who offered their artistic and realistic opinions when called upon: J.Story, Mario, Josiah, Dan, SamP, Jim, Daniel, Sage, and Harry.

This record and all the art I make is dedicated to Malcolm. You showed me how to make music and for that, I’ll never stop. Catch you somewhere down the line my friend.

Here’s to at least 20 more.
